Always replace your battery when...
By HefCI have come to find out that my computer battery isn't even made anymore. What luck and it is only 2 years old. So I can buy one off of eBay and hope that it works right or take it to a repair place and pay god knows how much. Nothing against repair places, I just prefer not to frequent them if it can be avoided. So I am borrowing a computer right now to write this little part of my tale. I didn't see myself typing all of this on my iphone the logistics of it all are a nightmare.
I think the battery from eBay is going to be the route I go. Soon all of the things I have been missing will be free for all to see. Remember if your computer tells you to replace something especially its battery... do what it says.
Eurovision 2012 Baku

That is so cool that different countries and musicians are represented at Eurovison. If we did it here in the states it would be Amerivision and each state would have a representative. If that happens you heard it hear first and I will collect on the royalties ;-)
Morning Ritual
By HefCToday is the first day I skipped my new morning ritual. I am feeling better and I am ready to do my morning ritual even though it is 2:40 pm CST. I don't know what came over me but I didn't up to doing all of my ritual. I was feeling down this morning. I am glad that I was able to see that I wasn't feeling like myself and I know everyone feels that way sometimes. That or it could just be the gloomy, cloudy, sunless sky that is brining me down.
I dont' know if this has anything to do with how I am feeling but usually when it is winter here in the Mid-West I try and tan to keep the winter blues away. It feels so good to get the bursts of sun light during the cold and gloomy part of the year. We moved a few years ago and the neighbor hood tanning place that we used to frequent is to far of a drive to use for regular tanning. We have yet to find a new place to tan; maybe that will help me get back into my morning routine and out of this winter funk.

Sydney Spies photo to racy to be used as her senior photo for her
high school yearbook? I don’t know if it is
too racy for her senior photo. For me to make
a decision there are several questions that come to
mind. Would I want my daughters to dress like
that for their senior picture? What standard
should be held for high school photos? Does
age and time make a difference?
Would I want my daughters to dress like that for their senior
picture? I think that Sydney Spies looks like
a confident young lady in her photos. Raising
a confident boy or girl is something any parent would be proud to
accomplish. It is difficult to raise a child
and have them be confident in their own skin.
Yes Sydney Spies is showing her midriff and is only wearing a
shawl off her shoulders not a shirt. She isn’t showing off her
cleavage or posing in a seductive manner. I
want to be able to say that I have raised two girls that are
confident and comfortable in their own skin.
If my daughters chose to have a picture similar to Sydney’s for
their senior photo I would stand by their
decision. Like Sydney’s mother is doing, she
has raised a confident young lady and should be proud of her
daughter. I think I would let my girls dress
like that for their senior picture.
What
standard should be held for high school
photos? There is a line that could be crossed
when it comes to high school pictures. I don’t
believe that Sydney Spies crossed that line.
She didn’t go topless, she wasn’t in her underwear, and she
wasn’t naked hiding behind an object. Sydney
did a tasteful photo shoot that any confident young woman would
be happy. I find it odd that the editors of
the year book have taken such a hard line on Sydney’s picture not
being used as her senior photo but it is ok to have in the
yearbook otherwise. One of the editors said by
using the photo it wasn’t up holding a level of professionalism
or something along those lines. My question to
the editors would be; why allow the photo at all in the yearbook,
if you wouldn’t allow it as Sydney’s senior
picture?
Does
age and time make a difference? Sydney is 18
she is allowed to dance in a strip club if she wants or to do
full on naked porn. Also if I recall seniors
get to have special photos for their senior picture and they are
usually in color. The rest of the school has
black and white photos and all look the same.
So I wouldn’t want my freshman taking any photos like this, but
my 18 year old senior I could accept that. If
we look at the year it is now 2012 and lots social norms have
changed. If we look at the photos from when
our parents were in high school, to when we were in high school
there is a big difference. I’m sure by the
time my daughters are in high school the pictures will show an
even greater difference from my parents.
Do I think that Sydney Spies should be allowed to use
her picture for her senior photo? Yes. Do I
think that I would let my daughters take a similar photo for
their senior picture? Yes. Do I think that her
age and the social norms of the time make Sydney’s photo
appropriate for her senior photo? Yes.
Everyone will have their own opinion on her choice of picture
some people will agree with Sydney and her mother, others will
not. Ask yourself when you look at her photo
do you see a confident young lady or a harlot?
If you say harlot maybe you need to look inward and ask am I
confident in myself, am I acting harshly towards Sydney because I
feel bad about myself?

Megan Fox is one of my favorite celebrity beauties for her hot body, her sexy eyes and smile and from what I’ve seen her roles in movies are a strong female and that is sexy!
Megan Fox has one of the
hottest celebrity bodies out there. Just for
example look at this photo of Megan Fox with body paint of the
superman shirt on her. She is beyond smoking
hot, it makes me wish I worked more with body
painting. I have done some painting and now I
will offer body painting to anyone who looks like Megan Fox,
lol.
Megan Fox already has sexy eyes and a sexy smile, but combine it with this pair of glasses that she has on in this photo and it she is a knock out! Some girls can pull off the cute glasses look but Megan Fox knocks it out of the park with her beautiful eyes and gorgeous smile. Even with this pair of glasses covering up her face she makes those glasses sexier than they were ever intended to be.
Megan Fox play a strong
female role in every movie that I’ve seen her
in. Both of the Transformer movies,
Transformers and Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen Megan Fox
played Shia LaBeouf’s girlfriend Mikaela
Banes. She also played Jonah Hex’s girlfriend
Lilah and she kicked ass in both of those movies. I haven’t seen
her in many other movies; although I have been jealous of Brian
Austin Green for his relationship with Megan Fox.
I can safely say that she is my favorite Transformer Fox and one of the hottest celebrity women out there. Her body is phenomenal, her eyes and smile could melt steel and she plays many strong female roles which makes her even sexier. Because it is hot to have a strong female that needs to be rescued, and it is easy to rescue a weak female but to have to rescue a strong female, like Megan Fox, is as sexy as it gets!
The Best Holiday Leftovers Ever

I have always had Holiday left overs and I too would have a cold turkey sandwich after the holidays. I never had a hot turkey sandwich for leftovers. For the last eleven years I have been part of the Culinary Industry and have seen many inspiring dishes. One that has stuck with me is a open faced hot turkey sandwich that I learned how to serve at my favorite restaurant to work at or eat.
So this year I took the stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey breast, and gravy leftovers and served them over a piece of buttered toast but in half diagonally. then mounded mashed p0tatoes, stuffing (cornbread stuffing if you can do it) then sliced turkey breast and top it all off with a healthy serving of turkey gravy. If you have it serve a little side of the fresh cranberry sauce you made for your holiday. There is no better way to enjoy your holiday leftovers than as a hot turkey sandwich! Don't let cold left overs be your holiday nightmare!
Tasty, Quick and Affordable Lunch... McDonalds

This afternoon the girls and I took a ride for a fast and friendly bite at our local McDonalds. Today was just another example of why we do frequent this location when we are in the mood for a quick bite close to home.
For $15.22 including tax but not the cost of gas to drive there and back the girls and I had lunch. We split a Big Mac meal the girls got their own cheese burger happy meals. One with fries and milk the other with apple dippers and apple juice (she has a bad reaction to milk, but not all dairy). We also used some of one of our free medium fries coupons from the Monopoly Game that McDonalds is currently running from 09/27/2011 until 10/24/2011.
The overall experience was good, the service was excellent, the food was excellent, the value was excellent, there was a discrepency in the bill and that was the only issue which was resolved quickly and easily. They politely asked me to move to the next order box (there was only one when I was growing up) at the end of the order I asked for my free medium fry and they told me to tell them at the window and they would take care of it. I paid at the next window and then when I got my food I told them I needed my free medium fry. They asked me to tell when I pay next time. I checked my bag and found they had charged me for the fry, so I went in and explained that I didn't need another fry but only for the coupon to be honored and a refund to be issued. They weren't slammed but they were not slow by any means and they issued my refund and wished me a wonderful day in a prompt and polite manner. This fast food dining experience getsa rating of 4.5 naked girls out of 5.
Besides needing a quick, tasty and affordable lunch the girls and I have been watching TV and have seen the McDonalds Halloween Buckets with stickers. Those McDonalds Halloween Buckets were a fun activity for the girls and myself after lunch and now they are even more excited for trick or treating. Just like buckets I had from McDonalds when I was growing up but we had a plastic lid. This one had a cardboard lid with stickers so each girl got to make three pumkins on each bucket!
IPhone 4S
By HefCI went yesterday to an interview seminar for Apple Retail for Main Place Naperville. During the Q&A at the end one of the applicants asked if they were excited for the release of the new phone tomorrow. The lead interviewer for Apple, suspiciously said “I have no idea what you are talking about” with a grin. So today I received an email from Apple introducing their new IPhone 4S. Well I guess that kid was right about the release of the next IPhone 4 was today. Here is what the email said.
Now the real question is do I want to get it or should I wait for the IPhone 5. I might just have to get them both and an IPad 2 and Apple TV. Help Help!!! I'm addicted to Apple!
Grilled salmon delicious so many ways!

I've done a variation of Teriyaki Grilled Salmon. You can do this at home it is simple. You'll need a few items from the store.
Teriyaki sauce
Wasabi powder or paste
Mashed potatoes - make your own or premade will do whatever you like
Fresh asparagus
Pineapple
Red pepper
Red onion
green onion
sesame oil
rice wine vinegar
brown sugar
salt and white pepper
Fresh or Frozen Salmon - Fresh is always better
Lime
Now that we have our shopping list we can go to the store and next time we'll be ready to cook.
